Mustard Experience
Here is a look at the last 10 years and the work I have taken on that
has defined who I am, and what I do, today.
|

|
Marketing May'11 - Present
I recently moved to London and secured a job in
the city. More details soon.
I continue to offer my freelance marketing services out of hours.
|

|
Marketing Department Nov'10 - Apr'11
For six months I was in full time employment as
'the
marketing department'
for an SMS technology firm. Due to a company policy, I am unable to
identify the organisation by
name, however in the short time I was there I passed my probationary
period and implemented several online and offline marketing initiatives
that yielded positive results, including
Creating and developing social media presence
Generating new business leads through marketing initiatives
Identifying and creating new site content that resulted in a positive
impact on site performance.
I left this marketing post on good terms to pursue
a career in
London.

Freelance Oct'10 - Present
Through a word of mouth referral, I was given the
opportunity to take on the marketing of existing website
Shirlaw Style. The business owners
brief essentially boiled down
to generating more leads in the local area. Marketing support has so
far included:
Creating a comprehensive marketing plan
Developing website design
Creating a
gallery
PPC implementation
Creating a strong call to action throughout the site
The business owner has been very pleased with the increased enquiries
she has received through the website and has recommended my services to
associates.
“Matt was recommended to me very highly and I have
found him to be
intelligent, excellent value, trustworthy, reliable and his calm and
easy going nature makes him very easy to work with. He has helped me
take my business to a new level and consistently been there every step
of the way explaining and helping me through each stage of the process.
I could not recommend him highly enough any business would be lucky to
have someone with the foresight and integrity he has.”
Natalie Shirlaw,
business owner at Shirlaw Style

Freelance Jan'10 - Present
My first freelance project, Emily-Rose
Professional Make-up Artist is today generating 10 enquiries
a day (January 2011). This project required the full works:
Plan, design and build of the website
SEO (example: #1 in Google)
PPC
Location based marketing optimisation
Creative social media presence solution
Ongoing content updates and developments
“Matt and I met at the very beginning of my career
as a make-up artist, he was and is full of energy, enthusiasm and
sparks of creativity for the industry that he loves - marketing and web
design. I took a running leap and set up my company - Emily Rose in
2008 and without Matt's expertise and 'out of the box ideas' I may not
be in the successful position that I am today. His fantastic SEO
knowledge rapidly gained me 60 wedding bookings within my first year of
trading and every client tells me how fantastic, clean and easy to
navigate the website is. Not only is Matt top of the range in the
service he supplies, but he is a completely honest, genuine and
extremely friendly guy who loves to help others, he is very
approachable with your own ideas and always listens. He actions things
immediately and is very pro-active. Finally, Matt offers all of this
for a very competitive rate. I would recommend Mustard Matt to anyone
looking to 'fly' within their business."
Emily-Rose, business
owner and author at Emily Rose Make-up Artist
